Wow. Haunting. “If we know we’re not happy here”…amazing how a new voice and vision can cause such a shift in the way you hear a song. Wow. Thanks for posting this.
Comment by Kristie Vosper 09.22.06 @ 4:50 pmHeard that a couple of weeks ago on ’s podcast. Don’t know if you’d like it, but they followed it up by an acoustic cover of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy Ray Lamontagne (no idea if I hit the spelling on that one!). It’s all about 20 minutes into the podcast.
Comment by Tammie 09.22.06 @ 6:50 pmOK. Got that all messed up a bit in trying to do HTML. It’s the Relevant magazine podcast from Aug. 25 and the acoustic cover was of Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy BY Ray Lamontagne.
Hmpf. See if I try to be fancy anymore.

Comment by Kara Szyarto 09.22.06 @ 6:56 pmHey Mark,
This is Mat from Obadiah Parker. I don’t know if you’ll end up reading this because it’s such an old post, but I just wanted to say thanks for having us on your blog. We actually started out leading worship in our youth group and now Jess and I are both worship leaders at our churches. I’ve known about Youth Specialties for a long time and have heard great stuff about the things you guys do, so it was really cool to find your post. Thanks!
Mat

So, even THAT song could be sung in a worship service. I was wondering how he was going to do the “shake it like a polaroid picture” line. Well done. I almost cried.
