at breakfast, liesl asked me, “can we go as many times as we want to the barfay?”

“the what?” i asked.

[hesitantly] “the… barf… ay? is that what it’s called?”

“oh, the buffet.”

From my travels in Guatemala, I thought for sure that the content of your blog would have something to do with having a well-meaning Guat try to get you to eat “garrobo.” Not sure if that’s spelled right…but ask around!
